When I was little I used to look through my mum's decorating books and dream about the candy castle cake in the Australian's Women's Weekly Children's Cake Book. My mum taught me to bake when I was young and it has always been a love of mine.

I studied computer engineering at university and continued with research in robotics. While studying I began cake decorating as a hobby and posted photos to my flickr account hello naomi. My images were shared on blogs and magazines and demand grew to the point where I started a business in 2009.

In 2011 I visited my friend Melissa and her cute bakery in Italy. I also traveled to London to teach a series of classes, which was an amazing experience. After I returned I decided to start looking for a retail space and found a cute little terrace on King St. It needed a lot of work done to turn it into a commercial kitchen and after the long, stressful building process I finally opened my dream cake shop in December 2013.

The thing that I love most about making cakes are the stories behind each event and the connections this creates to each dear client. I have been lucky enough to be a part of so many special occasions and form so many special friendships along the way.
